For the first time in the history of the World Expo, a Safety, Health and Well-being Days will be held from 16 to 19 July at the EXPO2025 in Osaka, Kansai, Japan.

The GISHW and its national and international partners are planning an exciting programme for both the professional and the public audiences that will be visiting the EXPO2025 during these days.

The main events will be

  • Summit about Safety, Health and Well-being for All with two high-level roundtables: the first one with senior representatives from the leading international OSH organisations and from the Government of Japan; and the second one with top managers from renowned international and Japanese companies
  • The 1st World Assembly for Safety, Health and Wellbeing Professionals with two main activities:
    • Workshops about the Future of Work, of Occupational Risks and of the Safety, Health and Well-being Profession
    • Plenary about the Role of Safety, Health, and Wellbeing in Designing Future Society for Our Lives
  • The International Symposium about Safety, Health and Well-being for All with two parallel sessions:
    • International Strategies and Programmes for Safety, Health and Well-being
    • Socially sustainable Businesses: Managing Safety, Health and Well-being at Enterprise Level
  • The ILO's Youth Congress on "Designing Safety, Health and Well-being at Work in the Digital Age" aims to raise awareness, particularly among young people, on their right to safe and healthy working environment and to promote action to realize it
  • The Festival aims at raising awareness by providing the EXPO-audience with insights into Safety, Health and Well-being through entertaining fashion shows, robot performances, videos and 3D presentations of the fascinating world of work
  • Two Safety, Health and Wellbeing Exhibitions:
    • A Theme Park for EXPO-visitors offering exciting, interactive experiences and insights into Safety, Health and Well-being, such as the Shimizu Safety Bus, Virtual Reality, games and exercise for kids  
    • A Trade Fair for SHW-professionals at INTEX Osaka with special focus on innovative concepts, technologies and practical solutions that can advance prevention and help building a healthy and sustainable business culture
