The International Labour Organization (ILO) is a specialized agency of the United Nations that addresses various labour issues. As of May 2025, it has 187 Member States, including Japan. For achieving its goal “decent work for all”, the realization of a safe and healthy working environment, which was included in the Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work in 2022, is indispensable.
At the 'ILO Youth Congress', the audience will explore the creative and innovative Calls to Action for Safety, Health & Well-being, developed by the students from several countries who completed a series of learning sessions on the rights to safety and health at work.
Japanese singer Yoko Oginome, the ILO Collaborator on public relations and awareness campaigns, will welcome the audience with her songs. She will also share her insights on safety, health and wellbeing at work through the dialogue with the MC Aki Mukai.
